Signing Day: Doverspike Rolls with the Tide

Signing Day keeps moving with another commitment announcement - this time from 5-Star senior Richard Doverspike (Duluth, Ga.).

Doverspike has had some fantastic showings this year, winning the consolation bracket at multiple tournaments. Perhaps his most impressive showing was back in January at the Copper Bowl in Tuscon, Ariz. Doverspike posted eight wins in the desert - including four against 5 Star competition - to win the consolation event.

This summer, Doverspike narrowed his list of schools to Georgia, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Tennessee, and Penn State. He and his parents kept busy the past few months visiting schools.

"We enjoyed helping Ricky schedule the visits," said his father, David Doverspike. "We drove to various universities, and learned as much as possible about the academics, tennis programs, and coaches. We felt confident that Ricky had all of the information he needed to make the right decision."

All the information is in, and Doverspike is set to make his announcement. That announcement comes today, Signing Day, at TennisRecruting.net.
