A little history of me...
Before moving to Anchorage, Alaska, I was ranked in the top 40 nationally and highly ranked in the Southern section. I won a few Bullfrog tournaments while living in Alexandria, LA and Cary, NC. I also placed 2nd and 3rd in doubles at National Open Level 3. As a younger player, I won my draw at the Super National Clay Courts in Boca Raton, FL. I was selected to be on the Junior Davis Cup team in the Southern section (They use a different title for this event now). I participated in Zonals and our team won the Gold Medal. I participated in the Louisiana AAU tennis team winning the Gold Medal as a team. I love singles and have a passion for doubles. While living in Anchorage, Alaska, my tennis community has allowed me to play in the Men's Open Divisions in singles and doubles. Many tournaments I play in all 5 events: Men's singles, doubles, Women's singles doubles, Mixed. All events are open. My clubs tournaments are usually unsanctioned but high quality tennis in the men's and mixed events. In 3 years in high school and playing women's singles and doubles and mixed, I've only lost 3 matches (1-high school doubles' match, 1 women's open doubles and 1 mixed which was a default because of illness). My men's doubles open partner and I played in the Arlington, TX US Open Qualifier in 2012 and made it to the quarters saving match points 3 times. Being a part of the Pacific Northwest section, I have won a few Endorsement Doubles title, made it to the finals several times in doubles. 2012 made it to the finals at Sectionals in doubles and in 2011 made it to the finals in singles. Even though I've lived the last 3 years in Alaska, I will be an asset to my tennis team.
Not pleased with how I played at the USTA Spring Nationals. I did not capitalize on opportunities. I'm looking forward to the upcoming nationals in May, Endorsements in June, Memphis, Birmingham, Claremont, and San Diego.
I'm reaching my goals this summer! I made the PNW G18 Nationals Team, the Memphis Clay Court Championships, and the Regional Segment in Dallas. I'm on the rise!
