TOURNAMENTS
Throughout his career, Tyler has played in Midwest Sectional tournaments as well as some National tournaments. Tyler has been selected for District teams and played Team Tennis as a young junior. He works his way up into the top 100 in the Midwest Section for his age division. He usually begins playing up in the next age group 6 - 9 months before aging up. Some highlights:

USTA Junior Team Tennis - BG 12s team took 3rd place in the Mid-west Section Advanced competition in Indianapolis, IN. The team was awarded the Team Sportsmanship award as well.
HIGH SCHOOL
Tyler played #1 singles and #3 doubles his Freshman year, winning 70% of his singles matches and going undefeated (17-0) in doubles.
Tyler played #1 singles and #3 doubles his Senior year. He finished in the top 32 at the State Tournament, won the Big 12 Conference singles title and took 2nd place at the State Sectional Tournament.
Tyler has chosen to attend Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.

ACADEMY
Tyler participates in the USTA Training Center program in his District. He is in the JET program at Atkins Tennis Center, Champaign-Urbana, IL on the University of Illinois campus. He travels there 3 nights each week for this tournament-player program. Tyler's personal coach, Brandon Lenfert, is the Head Pro at Atkins. Brandon was the assistant coach at Purdue prior to coming to Atkins.
