HIGH SCHOOL
2011- Peoria, Illinois high school sectional singles champ; mid-Illini conference singles champ and named first-team all-conference; finished top 32 at state, honorable mention all-state. notable wins during H.S. season: Patrick Gaffigan & Sid Swamy; Peoria Journal Star boys' tennis player of year
2012 - pre-season high school singles tourney champ in PEoria, Ill. def. Patrick Kuhle (committed to Quincy Univ.) 6-1,6-1, then Kevin Wang in final
runs var. cross-country; #1 in class academically; plays basketball on church league team; WYSE team member
2012 - repeats as Mid-Illini singles champion and named first-team all-conference
notable 2-set wins during sophomore season: Sunny Singh, Max Zheng, Grant & Trent Reiman, Chandler Clayton, Nathan Cavanaugh. repeats as Peoria sectional singles champ,finishing top-32 at state and honorable mention all-state, and Peoria Journal Star boys' tennis Player of Year.
Oct. 2012 - William qualified for state in cross-country
Feb. 2013 - successfully defends pre-season boys' (51 players) high school tournament title def. Mitchell Nguyen, MEtamora in semi & Kevin Wang, PEoria in final.
March 2013 - indoor invite - def. Brandon Harris, Edwardsville. lost to Alex Galoustian, Winnetka New Trier 4-6,3-6
Will won Red&White Invite, PEoria, Illinois def. Sunny Singh, Champaign Centennial in #1 singles final 6-4.7-5
April 2013 - 3-time #1 singles champ of Bloomington Invite def. Justin Ancona 6-2.6-4 in final
May 2013 - 3-time Mid-Illini singles champ and first team all-conference
though only having played w/partner 10 days before Dunlap sectional tournament he & Christoph Goettler won doubles championship w/o dropping set. They went on to compete at IHSA state tournament finishing in 6th place w/a medal and all-state honors!
March 2014 - indoor invite - def. Brandon Harris (SLU recruit), Edwardsville; teamed w/freshman brother, Fletcher, to def. state-ranked Moline team
