Roundtable: Academic Majors and College Tennis
A college tennis player's time is usually dominated by the rigors of
classroom study, practice, and competition. An interesting wrinkle to
time management is the choice of college major. Some areas of study -
architecture, engineering, and many others - are known for their
rigor even without the demands of college tennis. We put the question
to our panel: Do players' intended majors impact your ability to
recruit certain student-athletes?

College information sessions and recruiting experts are always
encouraging players and parents to take the initiative and reach out
to college coaches. That first contact is often by email - but high
school players are sometimes at a loss as to what points to emphasize.
