Blue Devils Get Another Blue Chip
Getting injured is no blessing for a sophomore tennis player looking to be recruited by a major Division I tennis program, but Nick Stachowiak of Cary, N.C., did the best he could to rebound from a back injury. Stachowiak worked hard for several months on strength and agility while he recovered. Stachowiak took unofficial visits to several schools in the Southeast, but nearby Duke University was always at the top of his list. He committed the Blue Devils in December.
