College of Charleston is Home for Five-Star Smith

Jacob Smith (WTN 13.2) didn’t want to leave his home state for college. The five-star senior from Daniel Island, South Carolina has grown to love the area more and more as he got older.
That put College of Charleston squarely on his radar during his recruiting search.
Smith contacted head coach Jay Bruner last year to express his interest. They began talking and Bruner eventually came to watch him practice.

“He told me a lot of very positive things and what I would experience at Charleston that would be different from many schools,” Smith said. “I could tell he was someone who would really support me on the court and be a very good mentor off the court as well.”
