HIGH SCHOOL
I have been a varsity singles starter since my freshman year of highschool. As a junior, I played varsity singles number one and had a 24-3 record in Pioneer League. I was awarded MVP at the end of the season.
As a senior, I was the captain of the South High Girls Varsity tennis team and played in the number one singles position once again. As a team, we captured the Pioneer League title and made it to the semifinals of CIF. I was a finalist in the Pioneer League finals singles tournament and I won my first round in the CIF Southern Section Individual Tournament before losing to the one seed. To top off a great senior year, I was awarded Female Athlete of the Season by the South High Athletic Director, Principal, and other administration. (I shared the title with our school's top volleyball player). I was also selected as part of the Daily Breeze Newspaper All Area Girls Tennis Team (see January 5, 2012).
