HIGH SCHOOL
I played my first ever tennis match February 2009 as a high school freshman at the #6 position for Riverbend's Varsity team and fell in love with the game. That season I worked my way from the #6 position to the #3 position finishing with a record of 14-1. I have played the last two years at the varsity number 1 position with a combined record of 22-7 during my sophomore and junior years. During the 2010 sophomore season, I led my team to the school's first ever Virginia Group AAA state tournament quarterfinals. This past 2011 junior seasons efforts led to a repeat appearance of the team at the AAA state tournament quarterfinal along with me advancing to the Virginia Group AAA state tournament quarterfinals in both the singles and doubles events.
Recently as a junior, I was honored by the Fredericksburg Free-Lance Star Newspaper in 2011 as the girl's varsity 'All Area Player of the Year' being selected first among 22 regional high school programs. This followed up selection as an all area player first team member in 2010 as a sophomore.
