WINTER PARK, Fla. (Men’s Tennis) – The Sunshine State Conference announced the All-SSC teams on Friday morning and No. 49 Florida Tech’s Beau Fieldsend and Matic Leskovar were named to the 2014 All-SSC Second Team in doubles.

Primarily in doubles No. 2, the duo went 10-5 in the spring and 13-6 overall. In their last 10 matches, Fieldsend and Leskovar went 8-2.

WINTER PARK, Fla. (Men’s Tennis) – The 2014 Sunshine State Conference Championships were underway Thursday morning, April 24, as No. 44 and sixth-seeded Florida Tech (6-13) took on No. 20 and third-seeded Rollins College (12-9). The Tars avoided an upset at the Tiedtke Tennis Courts, defeating the Panthers, 5-1.

September 28, 2013. PENSACOLA, Fla. (Men’s Tennis) – Matic Leskovar fell in the USTA/ITA South Region Men’s Singles Quarterfinals to Bruno Savi and Beau Fieldsend defeats Matt Nicholson-Lewis as the second day of the south regionals ended at the Ralph “Skeeter” Carson Tennis Complex on the campus of the University of West Florida.

Fieldsend won his opening singles tournament, 6-1, 6-3, and continued on to face Nathan Leavitt of Florida Southern. Fieldsend fell in a close battle, 4-6, 3-6 while Bruno Savi of UWF downed Leskovar in the quarterfinals, 5-7, 2-6.
Jose Martinez played in the opening round of the losers bracket against Francisco Yim-Kim of Valdosta State University and fell 6-1, 6-3

MELBOURNE, Fla. (Men’s Tennis) – Beau Fieldsend and Matic Leskovar dominated their way to winning doubles No. 1, 8-3 and three Panthers were co-champions in their respective singles flights as the 2013 Florida Tech Panther Tennis Invitational sponsored by Whittaker Cooper Financial Group came to a close on Sunday, September 22.

Fieldsend and Leskovar earned the doubles championship after defeating Romain Nowacyzk and Giuseppe Guarnieri of Palm Beach Atlantic University, 8-3.

Jose Martinez and Diego Ramirez finished action 3-0 in singles No. 7 and earned co-championships after dominating their respective flight. Ramirez defeated Valentin Brito, 6-0, 6-0 and Martinez downed Joseph Echeverria, 6-3, 6-4. Mattias Hartmann fell to Nicholas Battistini in the championship of singles No. 5, 6-4, 6-2 but the two were co-champions after finishing singles play with an identical record of 2-1.

Patrick Hernandez finished singles No. 2 on the winning side of a 7-6 (7), 6-2 contest against Giuseppe Guarnieri of Palm Beach Atlantic and Daniel Armellino defeated Matthew Leeds, 7-5, 1-6, 10-6 to finish singles No. 6 1-2.

"The guys played with a lot of energy all weekend," said head coach Bill Macom. "I think that we are in excellent shape. Coach (Andrew) Veeder and I saw a lot of good strategy being played out there."
