Southeastern Nova, Valdosta State Win NCAA Division II Titles

To win their first NCAA Division II team title, the Nova Southeastern women had to take down a dynasty.

The Sharks were up to the task.

No. 2 Nova Southeastern defeated six-time defending national champion and Sunshine State Conference rival Barry 4-2 at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida to win the crown for the first time in program history.

The Valdosta State men defeated Flagler 4-3 to capture the national title for the third time in program history and first since 2011. The Blazers (26-3) ended the season on a 16-match winning streak.
