Countdown: Blue Chip Boys

When most people think about college tennis, they think about the spring. Spring is the dual match season where teams play their rivals - and the best teams advance to compete in postseason play.

But Fall is an extremely busy time of year for college coaches. Teams are practicing and competing in fall tournaments, and high school seniors are coming to a critical period in the college recruiting process. As always, the most sought-after recruits are the Blue Chip prospects.

We kick off the second week of our Countdown to Signing Day article series with a look at the top boys in the senior class. We have spent the past few weeks making phone calls to these athletes, and they told us where they are in their decision-making process. It's still early, but many of the boys are starting to narrow in. Take a look and see where things stand ...

The table below shows the Blue Chip athletes and their current recruiting status. The Commitment column shows whether the recruit has made a verbal commitment or is undecided, while the Interests column indicates schools of interest.
