Spotlight Players of the Week: Daniel Haley and Evelyn Safar
Share:

SPOTLIGHT ON Evelyn Safar (Wexford, Pennsylvania)

Music on your playlist: I have two genres I like. One is a mix of rap and the other is down-tempo alternative. It’s really two different kinds of sounds for every mood I am feeling.

Dream vacation destination: Either France or Italy. I am a huge foodie so that would make a lot of sense.

Favorite food: I absolutely love breakfast for dinner, so I think just breakfast in general. French toast is great.

Favorite athlete: Roger Federer. I love his poise and the way he acts both on and off the court.

Future occupation: I honestly don’t really know yet. I am excited to get to college and take a lot of different classes to figure out what I am passionate about.

If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would it be: Erin Morgenstern. She wrote one of my all-time favorite books, Night Circus. It’s really a phenomenal read and I would love to meet her to talk about the book in general. It has some really cool plot elements and I just want to know where that all came from.

Must-watch TV show: The Blacklist

Favorite movie: Zootopia

If I am not playing tennis, I am … probably either doing homework, hanging out with friends or trying to go on adventure outside.

SPOTLIGHT ON Daniel Haley (Edmond, Oklahoma)

Music on your playlist: I listen to a variety, but before matches I like upbeat songs that get me pumped up.

Dream vacation destination: Hawaii

Favorite food: Either steak of Chick-fil-A

Favorite athletes: Roger Federer, Dominic Thiem and Adrian Peterson.

Future occupation: I haven’t completely decided yet, but I always thought it would be interesting to become a sports agent. I think the business side of sports and dealing with contracts and stuff is very interesting.

If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would it be: Roger Federer. He is my favorite player and I think it would be a really great experience to gain knowledge from him.

Favorite movie: Avengers: Endgame

If I am not playing tennis, I am … either hanging out with friends or doing schoolwork, and when the weather is nice outside I like to play golf.
