Kalamazoo College alumnus Mark Riley ('82), head men's tennis coach at the University of Pennsylvania for the past seven seasons, was recently named men's tennis coach at his alma mater and assistant director of the 2007 USTA Boys 18s and 16s National Championships. Riley, team captain and All-American for the Hornets in 1981 and 1982, also served as head coach at Drake and Kansas before leading Penn.
Timon Corwin, Riley's predecessor in Kalamazoo, has accepted a position
with USTA High Performance as Senior Director of Junior and Collegiate Competition, but continues as Tournament Director for the 2007 tournament, which begins Friday.
Just a few days after his arrival on campus at Kalamazoo College, Colette Lewis sat down to talk with Riley about the new chapter in his career in tennis.
