Recruiting Update
Early Arrivals: Drew Courtney to Virginia

The 18s National Hard Courts are taking place this week in Berkeley, California and Kalamazoo, Michigan. Many college coaches are in attendance - checking out the best that the Class of 2008 has to offer. One Top 25 athlete who has already made a commitment is Drew Courtney (Clifton, Va.) Courtney, who is playing this week at The Nationals, recently committed to the Virginia Cavaliers.

Brian Boland and company are getting a solid recruit in Courtney. He is fresh off a 4-0 performance in the #1 position for Mid-Atlantic at the National Team Championships in Illinois - including a tightly-contested victory over current Cavalier Houston Barrick. His 50-14 record over the past year includes four championships - including a title at the National Open in Pennsylvania.

Courtney is also making history in Virginia high school play. The past two years he has won the VHSL singles, doubles, and team championships. And this year actually marked his third straight doubles title.

We recently talked with Courtney about his college decision process.
