TOURNAMENTS
I've played tournaments around Washington State but not a lot just to focus on school work. I've also played Junior Team Tennis for Bremerton playing sectionals at the Yakima Tennis Club (Washington) and the Portland Tennis Club (Oregon).
HIGH SCHOOL
I've been on the varsity team since my freshman year at Bainbridge High School in Washington state. My team is co-ed and we play in the 3A league which is the second toughest league to compete in, in the state. The team has also been one of the top teams in the league. I played in the number 1 and number 2 girls singles spot (switching back and forth) my freshman year, and for my sophomore and junior year, I was the number 1 girls singles player on my team. I've so far competed in the metros and districts tournament. In my junior year, I developed a love for doubles, and my partner and I got 3rd at the state metros tournament.
TENNIS CAMPS
I've played in summer camps on the island which is how I got started on the sport.
ACADEMY
I started out at the Bainbridge Athletic Club when I was 12 receiving private lessons and playing in group lessons. I then transferred to the Kitsap Tennis and Athletic Center at 14 years old to get more rigorous training and then returned to BAC at 16 to be closer to the island. Sasha Carter, Bainbridge High School singles state champion and player for the University of Montana, returned to Bainbridge Island and became my coach. I am also being coached by Eric Styrmoe (Pro, a former All-American at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah with international tennis experience) at the La Paloma Club in Tucson, Arizona.
