TOURNAMENTS
Rose into prominence in the downstate Illinois tennis scene after winning three USTA Level 5 tournaments in the Mid-South District. At his peak, was ranked second in the ultra-competitive Mid-South Illinois B14 district standings list in 2016. Won multiple Level 4 Midwest Tournaments in early 2017. Qualified for Midwest Closed in 2014, 2016, and 2017 (got destroyed--very unlucky). Unofficially retired from USTA competition after a 6-2, 6-3 win against Mark Trinka in the final of the prestigious Level 4 BTC Dr. MLK Jr One Day Classic. Known for seemingly impossibly incredible mental toughness (career 12-5 super-tiebreaker record) and a powerful yet elegant western forehand.
