Coaching Achievements
Adam Strand

-The 2016-17 campaign will be Coach Strand's sixth season at the helm of the women's tennis program
-2004 graduate of Luther College
-Has led the Norse to a record of 79-45
-Has coached 9 student-athletes who have earned 14 all-conference honors in singles and seven who have earned 10 all-conference honors in doubles
-Took over both the men's and women's tennis programs five years ago after serving as the head coach of both programs at Augustana College, Rock Island, Ill. for six years
-During his tenure his men's teams posted a record of 107-66 and placed third in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) five times and finished second his last year
-He coached the women for five years posting a record of 71-58 including a 20-9 record and a second place finish in the CCIW in 2010
-Named CCIW Coach of the Year in 2010
-Four-year letter winner while playing for the Norse

Miriam Skrade...

-Begins her second season as the assistant for the men's and women's teams
-2004 graduate of Luther College
-Three-time all-conference performer in singles and two-time all-conference performer in doubles while playing for the Norse
-Helped lead the Norse to three Iowa Conference championships and four consecutive NCAA III National Tournament appearances
-Posted a career singles record of 66-33 and was 36-20 in doubles
-Joins Luther staff from Knox College where she was the head coach for both the men and women for the past two years (2013-2014)
-From 2010-13 she was the head coach for boy's tennis at Ames High School where she led the team to a state title in 2011 and runner-up finishes in 2010 and 2012
-Twice she was named Central Iowa Metropolitan League Coach of the Year
