NCAA Tournament Roundtable - Part I
The brackets are set, and this weekend, the NCAA Division I Tennis Championships get underway. 64 men's and women's college tennis teams will head to campus venues around the country to compete in first- and second-round action. The winners will make up the Sweet 16 and head to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to compete for the team title. Today, our college tennis contributors preview the "Big Dance" of college tennis.
Roundtable: Effects of New Scoring in Division I (Part 1)
After experimenting with different methods to accelerate the pace of play in college tennis, the NCAA has approved several adjustments to the scoring system in Division I tennis initially proposed by the ITA. No-ad scoring, shortened doubles sets and eliminating formal warm-ups are modifications meant to engage fans and shorten the time student-athletes spend on the court. We talked with a number of college coaches about how these changes impact their preparation.

Last Fall, Madison Tedford was a mess. Her legs were hurting from what turned out to be a shin fracture, which led to her forehand breaking down. But after some time off from competitive tennis and revisiting the fundamentals with her coaches at TBarM Tennis, Tedford is playing the best tennis of her life. The Four-star senior recently made her college decision as well - heading to Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
