Notes

The table above lists all recruits as of May 19, 2025. In addition to the Star Rating, we display the highest TRN, ITF junior, WTN, and UTR metrics for each player since January 2025, and for international players we display the TRN ranking they would hold if eligible.

Also Receiving Consideration

We reviewed the resumes for more than 50 teams for these rankings. Teams that received strong consideration and almost made our list are (alphabetically) as follows:  Boise State, Chicago, East Carolina, George Washington, Georgetown, James Madison, Miami (OH), San Diego State, Tulane

Hear Them Roar

The Memphis Tigers sit atop the mid-major women’s recruiting rankings for 2025, thanks to a dynamic international duo and a program on the rise under longtime head coach Hayden Perez. Memphis, the 2025 American Athletic Conference champions, reached the NCAA Tournament for the second time in four years, adding to a growing legacy that includes conference titles in both 2022 and 2025.

Joining the squad this fall are two standout recruits from Europe. Four-star senior Emma Dvorackova, originally from the Czech Republic and currently training in the New York area, brings experience to the Tigers. “Emma is a very talented young lady that comes from a tennis family; both her mom and dad played college tennis in the USA,” said Perez in a school release. “She is one of the better players in the Czech Republic, has a big heart, great demeanor on court, and we believe will fit in great with the team.”

Memphis also welcomes Natalia Koppova of Slovakia, a seasoned competitor with experience on the Slovakian and ITF circuits. “Natalia is an amazing young lady with a passion for the game of tennis,” said Perez. “Her experience has prepared her for college tennis, and we expect her to fit in nicely with the team.”

With momentum from a conference championship and a top-ranked class, the Tigers look ready to roar in 2025 and beyond.

Landing at No. 2 in our rankings is Rice University, where Head Coach Elizabeth Schmidt continues to build on a tradition of excellence. The Owls extended their streak to ten consecutive NCAA tournament appearances in 2025 and are reloading with a talented duo: 5-Star senior Daniela Chica of Miami, Florida, and Ema Mracova of the Slovak Republic.

Checking in at No. 3 is Furman, bringing in one of the largest and most balanced classes in the field. The Paladins will welcome three American recruits - 5-Star Lillie Murphy (Knoxville, Tenn.), along with 4-Star prospects Elle Warren (Canton, Ohio) and Sasha Dimitrov (Alpharetta, Ga.). Their international additions include Bianca Ceroni (Canada) and British duo Molly Robinson and Lily Doherty.

Rounding out the Top 5 are the UMass Minutewomen and the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles, taking the No. 4 and No. 5 spots, respectively.

Conference Call

The 25 ranked recruiting classes come from 16 different conferences, but none shine brighter than the American Athletic Conference, which leads the way with four teams in the Top 25.

The AAC claims the top two spots in our rankings - Memphis and Rice - and is also represented by the Florida Atlantic Owls at No. 9 and UAB Blazers at No. 22.

The only other conference with more than two teams on the list is the Patriot League, which places three programs in this year’s rankings: the Navy Midshipmen (11), Boston University Terriers (17), and Army Black Knights (24).

Drop Shots

Scattershooting through the rankings …

  • California Dreaming - Programs from 15 different states made the rankings, but no state has a bigger presence than California. The Golden State lands four teams in the Top 25: the San Diego Toreros (No. 7), Cal Poly Mustangs (13), Sacramento State Hornets (18), and UCSD Tritons (23).
  • Year After Year - Boston University (17) continues to set the bar for consistency, with a record 16 total appearances in our mid-major recruiting class rankings. Army (24) follows with 12 all-time appearances.
  • Familiar Faces - Only six programs in this year’s rankings were also ranked in 2024: Rice (2), San Diego (7), Florida Atlantic (9), Navy (11), Fordham (12), and BU (17) all earned back-to-back recognition.
  • Streaking - BU (17) extends its remarkable streak to six consecutive years with a ranked class, the longest active run. Navy (11) isn’t far behind, appearing for the fifth straight year.
  • Grand Debuts - Four programs make their first-ever appearance in our mid-major rankings: Florida Gulf Coast debuts in style at No. 6, joined by the Tarleton State Texans (15), UCSD Tritons (23), and Seton Hall Pirates (25). Welcome to the list!
  • Historic Hauls - Eight programs reached new heights with their best recruiting classes ever. In addition to the four debutants, Memphis (1), Louisiana Tech (4), Air Force (10), and Navy (11) also notched their highest placements to date.
