Laaksonen the Winner at 20th Champaign Challenger
Singles winner Henri Laaksonen and doubles champions David O'Hare and Joe Salisbury had plenty to celebrate on Saturday as they took the top prizes at the USTA JSM Champaign pro circuit event, but they weren't the only ones cheering. The Challenger celebrated its 20th year, making it one of the longest running tournaments of its kind in the country.

School is back in session and several of last month's aces returned to college with hardware to add to their trophy cases. Juniors also excelled, both at the US Open and in smaller professional events around the world.
UCLA Sweeps Titles at American Collegiate Invitational
The second annual American Collegiate Invitational, held in the final days of the US Open Championships, had more than its share of weather issues and UCLA Bruins. The women's final, with Robin Anderson defeating Chanelle Van Nguyen 6-4, 6-4, was an all-UCLA contest finished indoors, while Mackenzie McDonald managed a 6-2, 7-5 victory in the final over Vanderbilt's Gonzales Austin, the only non-Bruin to reach either final.
