Virginia's Collins and Kwiatkowski Earn Titles at American Collegiate Invitational
The University of Virginia picked up where UCLA left off last year at the third annual American Collegiate Invitational, played at the end of the second week of the US Open. After Bruins Mackenzie McDonald and Robin Anderson had swept the titles in 2015, the Cavaliers dominated the proceedings this year, with recent graduate Danielle Collins taking the women's title and senior Thai Kwiatkowski capturing the men's championship.
Joyce, Daavettila Repeat as Champions at US Open Midwest Playoffs
The location had changed, but the results were the same as teenagers Martin Joyce and Sara Daavettila defended their titles at the US Open Midwest Playoffs at the University of Notre Dame Monday.

Ross, Sanford Earn Asics Easter Bowl ITF Titles
Both Gianni Ross and Alexandra Sanford made their first appearances in International Tennis Federation Grade 1 finals at the Asics Easter Bowl earlier this month. They succeeded in making that new experience to a winning one, coming away with the trophies at the ITF Grade B1 event. The unseeded Ross defeated No. 4 seed John McNally 6-4, 7-6(3) in the boys championship match, with No. 8 seed Sanford overcoming No. 13 seed Ellie Douglas 6-4, 1-6, 6-1 in the girls final.
