Whether they are adding new milestones in their junior careers or solidifying their status on the professional level, all 18 will remember the satisfaction of holding the winner’s trophy after an important performance last month.
US, International Players Shine in August
August is the month the USTA crowns its National Champions, with the eight boys and girls claiming gold balls and unforgettable memories. Due to Tennis Recruiting Network's extensive coverage of Championship week, those players are not featured below but a dozen current and former college stars and top juniors also have accomplishments to treasure from last month.
American French Open Champion is a June Ace
June marks the end of clay season and the beginning of grass season, but it's also the month college players flood the USTA Pro Circuit in search of precious ATP and WTA ranking points. Five current college players won titles this month in the US, while former Division I stars also excelled. Add to that the first American French Open girls champion since Jennifer Capriati, bringing the number of top performers in June to 17.
